OnePlus is reportedly working on a new tablet named the OnePlus Pad 2. The upcoming tablet is expected to come as a successor to the last year’s OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus entered into the tablet segment with the OnePlus Pad, followed by the launch of the OnePlus Pad Go. Now, the brand is expected to bring its next flagship OnePlus Pad 2 tablet soon to the market. The latest development hints at an upgraded processor and the launch timeline. Here’s what to expect from the OnePlus Pad 2.

OnePlus Pad 2 Expected Launch Timeline

Tipster Max Jambor reveals in a recent X (formerly Twitter) post that the OnePlus Pad 2 will be launched in the second half of 2024. The tipster further claims that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power the upcoming OnePlus tablet.

Apart from this, nothing is known about the Pad 2. Since it will use the flagship processor, we expect the tablet might ship with high-end features and cost more compared to the OnePlus Pad.

To recall, the OnePlus Pad (review) was launched with a 9510 mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC charging support. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The tablet has a single 13MP camera on the back with autofocus and an LED flash. There is an 8MP ultrawide front camera with fixed focus. The rear camera is capable of capturing video in up to 4K resolution at 30fps. The tablet also sports an 11.61-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2800 x 2000 pixels with a 7:5 aspect ratio, 500 nits of peak brightness, and a 144Hz refresh rate.

Coming to the pricing, the OnePlus Pad is now selling for Rs 37,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage model, while the 12GB RAM/256GB model is available for Rs 39,999 in India.
