Nothing has launched two new audio products namely – the Nothing Ear and the Nothing Ear (a). The latter is an affordable offering with ANC support, while the Nothing Ear comes with high-end features like wireless charging, Smart ANC algorithm, and more.
Both units come with transparent designs. Here’s everything you should know about Nothing’s latest audio devices.
Nothing Ear Features
The Nothing Ear comes as the successor of the Nothing Ear (2), featuring 11mm dynamic drivers with a ceramic diaphragm. The earbuds are claimed to have an improved dual chamber design compared to the Ear (2) along with two additional vents to improve airflow.
The Nothing Ear comes with ANC support for up to 45dB and a new Smart ANC algorithm. The earbuds have an adaptive ANC feature, which includes three noise cancellation levels – low, medium, and high.
In terms of battery, the Nothing Ear is claimed to provide up to 40.5 hours of playback time with the charging case, while the earbuds offer 8.5 hours of playback on a single charge. Further, a quick ten minutes of charging is claimed to offer ten hours of playback time. The earbuds also support up to 2.5W wireless charging.
Other features include LHDC 5.0 and LDAC codec, dual device connectivity, real-time switching, and an IP54 rating for the earbuds. However, the charging case of the Nothing Ear comes with an IP55 rating.
Nothing Ear (a) Features
The Nothing Ear (a) also comes with ANC support for up to 45dB and the same Smart ANC algorithm. These earbuds ship with LDAC codec and are claimed to offer up to 42.5 hours of music playback with the charging case.
Although, it does not support wireless charging, but offers up to ten hours of playback time (without ANC) on a quick charge of ten minutes. The Ear (a) buds are IP54 rated, while the charging case comes with an IPX2 rating.
Nothing Ear, Ear (a) Price and Sale Dates in India
The Nothing Ear will cost Rs 11,999, while the Ear (a) will be available for Rs 7,999 in India. Both audio devices can be purchased via Flipkart, Croma and Vijay sales starting April 22 (for the Ear a), while the Nothing Ear will go on sale on April 29. There will be a discount of up to Rs 2,000, bringing the price of the Ear (a) to Rs 5,999.
