the
theatres,

made
the
headlines
for
its
digital
release.
The
movie,
which
had
released
in
February
2024,
has
finally
witnessed
its
OTT
release.

is
released
on
Disney
Hostar
on
May
5.

is
based
on
a
true
incident
which
revolves
around
a
group
of
boys
Manjummel
who
head
for
a
vacation
to
Kodaikanal.

while
Manjummel
Boys
has
finally
released
on
OTT,
it
has
become
the
recent
prey
of
piracy
as
it
is
reported
that
the
full
movie,
which
was
released
in
Hindi,
Malayalam,
Tamil,
Telugu
and
Kannada,
was
leaked
online
just
hours
after
its
OTT
release.

The
media
reports
suggest
that
Manjummel
Boys
was
leaked
online
and
was
available
for
free
download
in
all
languages
or
watching
online
for
free
in
HD
print
on
several
illegal
websites
soon
after
it
premiered
on
Disney
Hotstar.
Needless
to
say,
the
leak
has
come
as
a
shock
to
the
makers
and
is
likely
to
affect
its
viewership
across
the
world
despite
a
phenomenal
response
at
the
box
office.

Meanwhile,
director
Chidambaram
has
dropped
hints
about
remaking
Manjummel
Boys
in
other
languages.
He
stated,
“There
will
be
a
bunch
of
boys
like
these
in
every
corner
of
the
world.
Plus,
friendship
and
love
are
very
universal
things.
But
since
Manjummel
Boys
is
based
on
a
real
story,
I
don’t
know
how
it
will
be
placed
in
other
settings,
and
if
it
is
entirely
fictional,
I
am
not
sure
if
it
will
gain
as
much
acceptance.
However,
I
am
very
open
to
(the
idea
of)
remakes
and
reinterpretations”.

this

as

has
turned
out
to
be
a

the

industry.
