We already know the next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor is coming later this year. The processor will be announced at the Snapdragon Summit in October 2024.
Now, the latest development has revealed the upcoming smartphone list which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.

According to the tipster Yogesh Brar, Xiaomi has an exclusive deal with Qualcomm for the first launch, followed by both OnePlus & iQOO. Both the Xiaomi 15 and the 15 Pro are expected to be the first devices to come with Qualcomm’s next-gen chip.

The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC is said to come with Qualcomm’s custom Oryon CPU which will have an improved NPU performance. Besides, the chip reportedly ran the game Genshin Impact smoothly for 45 minutes at 1080p resolution, maintaining a 60fps frame rate. Even the Adreno 830 GPU also scored 10% higher than Apple’s M2 chip in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test.
Now, coming to the upcoming Xiaomi 15, which is tipped to have a 1.5K resolution (2500 x 1200 pixels), an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, and up to 1,400 nits brightness. Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship series is speculated to go into mass production in September 2024, while the launch could take place in October.
The OnePlus 13 was leaked with a micro curved 2K display, and a 5,400 mAh battery with 100W charging support, same as the OnePlus 12. However, OnePlus is expected to redesign the camera arrangement for the OnePlus 13. The phone might arrive place by the end of this year.
On the other hand, the upcoming iQOO phone is rumoured to have significant improvements in battery and charging capabilities. The iQOO 13 will also be unlikely to launch before October. However, the brands are yet to confirm the launch timelines for these smartphones, so, it’s better to take it with a pinch of salt and stay tuned for more updates.
