Whenever there’s a report on his health, the Padosan actor makes sure to update fans about his health and how well he is recovering from it. Now, it was reported that Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the hospital due to some health issues. During an interaction with ETimes, Saira Banu confirmed that he will be discharged by Sunday.
The former actor stated, “Dilip Kumar Saab is recovering well and will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow.”
In 2020, Dilip Kumar lost his two brothers to COVID-19 and thus, the legendary actor cancelled his birthday celebrations. Talking about the same, Saira had told Mid Day, “We have had a catastrophe this year. Dilip Sahab lost his two brothers. He doesn’t keep well, neither do I. It’s a difficult time for us, so there is no question of a big celebration. We will simply thank the Lord for the gift of life and health.”
Banu had also told Hindustan Times, “The day (Dilip Kumar’s birthday) is an event for all of us but not for him. Of course, he is touched by the affection and appreciation because he always respects his fans whose admiration for his work is more valuable to him than any popular award.”
Talking about his health, Saira Banu had also told, “He’s not too well. He’s weak. At times, he walks into the hall and back to his room. His immunity is low. Pray for his welfare. We are grateful to God for each day.”
