Television actor Rohan Mehra, who was one of the many contestants on Bigg Boss 10, on Wednesday expressed sadness over the demise over self-proclaimed godman and former Bigg Boss 10 housemate Swami Om’s death.
The controversial contestant Swami Om left for the heavenly abode on Wednesday. As per Zee News, he had been ill from the past few months and breathed his last on Wednesday in Ghaziabad at his residents.
Confirming the news, Arjun Jain, son of Swami Om’s friend Mukesh Jain told Zee News that he had a paralysis attack a few days ago after which his health deteriorated. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS.
Arjun told the portal, “Swami Om was sick for the last few months. Even after recovering the coronavirus, he had a lot of trouble walking due to weakness. After which he also had paralysis in half his body. His condition worsened 15 days ago due to paralysis. He breathed his last this morning.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with ETimes, Rohan said that he has let bygones be bygones and that he feels bad about the self-proclaimed godman’s death.
Rohan told ETimes, “After Bigg Boss, I never met him or spoke to him. It’s unfortunate that he left the world and now I will pray for him so that his soul rests in peace.”
He added, “Even though I had clashes with him in the house, I had left those feelings there only. I spent two-three months with him in the house, and I feel really bad about his death.”
For the unversed, it was because of an incident involving Rohan and Bani J that the Bigg Boss makers sent him home. He did the grotesque act of throwing urine on housemate Bani J.
Earlier, mourning Swami Om’s demise, Manu Punjabi exclusively told SpotboyE in an interview that the self-proclaimed godman was very entertaining and that people must forgive him for his idiotism and pray for the departed soul.
He said, “#SwamiOm no doubt created many controversies and some of his act was really hard to forgive. But we can’t deny the fact that he made people laugh. Was super entertaining. He left us and it is finally time to forgive his idiotism and pray for the departed soul. I wish he rests in peace! (sic).”
