Amit Sadh, who was last seen in web shows like ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’ and ‘Yaara’, has opened up about a time when he felt depressed constantly. The actor shared that he had attempted suicide four times at the mere age of 16-18.
Amit revealed the same in an interview to Mens XP. Sadh shared that after his fourth attempt, he believed it was time to overcome the fear and face life, head on.
“I didn’t overcome it all in one day – took me 20 years! I just found one thing for sure – this is not the end,” he shared.
The ‘Sultan’ actor added, “I feel blessed and fortunate that I’m on the other side of the white light. Now I have a lot of compassion, love, and empathy for people who become weak.”
He went on and asserted, “There must be so many people who commit suicide but there are so many more people who contemplate or have thoughts about committing suicide on some dark day. For me, what marks real strength is to come out of it.”
Amit Sadh had made his debut in Bollywood opposite actor Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Kai Po Che’. The movie had gone on to become a huge hit, giving their careers a certain boost.
Unfortunately, Sushant died under mysterious circumstances on June 14 this year. His case was investigated by Mumbai Police, Bihar Police, High Court, CBI, NCB, ED and AIIMS. Going by his medical examinations, AIIMS declared that the actor died of suicide by hanging himself.
