  • Will Apple be able to reinvent the Moto Razr in a screen touch avatar that works?
  • Apple iPhones this September are unlikely to sport a foldable form factor

Apple is reportedly following Motorola, Samsung and LG by exploring the world of foldable smartphones. You have to be living under a rock to not know or remember the iconic Moto Razr as well the several other iterations from Motorola as well as other top smartphone manufacturers. Of late, the Samsung Fold’s two variants have tried to create buzz of the iconic phone with a screen touch configuration but the monumental price tag as well the hinges not really working have failed to provide commercial success. But, it’s not a concept and with Apple entering the sphere with testing ongoing, 2021 could see a foldable variant of the iPhone.

Will iPhone 13 come with a foldable option. It’s too soon to say and there hasn’t been enough chatter to suggest that we could see a foldable screen touch Apple product in this September’s event. According to a recent Bloomberg report, the Cupertino-based tech giant is currently working on several types of foldable screens while developing an ‘invisible hinge’ which will open up and become the size of nearly the current Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max. Several sizes of screens are also being considered for the device and the screen is still being worked on with no news on the rest of the device, battery size, processor, camera and other components.

The reports also state that iPhones that will be released in September 2021 will sport ‘minor upgrades’ as well as an on-screen fingerprint sensor with Touch ID with face masks becoming too much for the AI to handle. A huge step in going wireless is the absence of a charging port altogether with wireless charging being the only option. Apple is yet to confirm any of the above details but being a Bloomberg report, it cannot be brushed aside as a rumor or minor conjecture about the upcoming range of iPhones and other exciting Apple products.
