In the hours leading up to the ceremony, Hadid will walk the red carpet as she’s done plenty of times before. This time though, she hopes she’s asked more than just what she’s wearing or what performances she can’t wait to see. Post-election, there are bigger things to discuss, says the supermodel. “I just want everyone to be more positive with each other. No one loses anything by helping or being nice to each other. I think that’s something our country needs to be reminded of. Not only in the world, but in social media, with each other, with celebrities—and just remembering that because someone is successful, it doesn’t mean you should lose compassion for them. Just have compassion for people in general.”
