Zendaya may have gotten her start on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up over a decade ago, but she made sure one very important first wasn’t caught on camera for all time — her first kiss.

Zendaya recently told British Vogue that having her first kiss on the show was a non-negotiable for her at the time. “I remember being on Shake It Up and being like, ‘I’m not gonna do this. I’m going to kiss him on the cheek because I haven’t been kissed yet so I don’t want the kiss to be on camera,’” she explained. Her character, Rocky Blue, had several love interests throughout the run of the show, including Leo Howard’s character Logan Hunter, who becomes Rocky’s boyfriend. The two do kiss on the cheek, leading us to believe that the scene in question may have been Rocky’s first entanglement with Logan.

Zendaya has continued to keep her private life as private as possible, even as one of the biggest stars on the globe. She told British Vogue that she’s aware of the gossip surrounding her relationship status, namely with current and former costars like Tom Holland and Jacob Elordi. “Yeah. I’ve seen those tweets,” she said, adding that whoever she dates has to get through her family first. “My dad, my brothers, it’s a whole thing. Good luck to whoever wants to take that on,” Z shared. While we may be interested in Zendaya’s relationship status, it’s her prerogative to share what (if anything) she wants to share with fans regarding who she’s dating.

At the end of Shake It Up, we learn that Rocky, like Zendaya, went on to an extremely successful career in entertainment and ended up married to an international spy named Mark. We already know Zendaya’s got the acting achievements and awards on lock, but we’ll have to stay tuned to see what the rest of her future holds.
