Xiaomi and Qualcomm timed their announcements well this week to confirm the new midrange SoC (System on a Chip) as well as the first smartphone to be powered by this chipset.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro, from the Redmi Note 13 series, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC. This means the series will have two different and distinct chipsets from Qualcomm and MediaTek. Let’s look at the latest available details about the upcoming midrange Android smartphone from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi And Qualcomm Jointly Confirm New Chipset And Smartphone
Xiaomi recently confirmed the official launch date of the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones, which will include the entry-level Redmi Note 13, the middle-level Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the top-end Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra chipset, whose two performance cores have been clocked at 2.80GHz while the rest of the six cores are clocked at 2.00GHz.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro smartphone is being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. This is a new octa-core chipset based on the 4nm architecture. Neither Qualcomm nor Xiaomi has confirmed the exact specifications of the new Snapdragon chipset. However, it would obviously sit below the Dimensity 7200 SoC.
Redmi Note 13 series is expected to launch in India in the month of November or December, 2023.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Series To Feature Under-Display Fingerprint Scanner
In addition to confirming the chipset powering the Redmi Note 13 Pro, Xiaomi published another poster that confirms the upcoming Redmi Note 13 series will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Needless to add, this strongly suggests the middle and top-end models in the Redmi Note 13 series will feature AMOLED displays instead of the conventional IPS LCD screens.
According to a recent leak, Xiaomi has opted for an AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for the Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus models.

The upcoming Xiaomi smartphones are tipped to feature battery sizes slightly exceeding 5000mAh. The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus models are tipped to support 667W and 120W wired fast charging respectively.
