Vicky Kaushal to participate in dahi handi on Janmashtami, shares adorable photos with ‘pyaare nanhe Kanhaiyaas’

Vicky Kaushal will be seen participating in Dahi Handi at an even in Mumbai on the occasion of Janmashtami.

As it’s Janmashtami today, actor Vicky Kaushal will be participating in one of the Dahi Handi events in Mumbai. The actor talked about the festival and expressed his excitement about participating in dahi handi.

Expressing excitement about it, Vicky said, “Growing up in Mumbai, Dahi Handi was more than just a celebration. It was all about the spirit, unity, and unbreakable bonds of the people. I always felt that the human pyramid formed to break the ‘Handi’ is a powerful metaphor for resilience and unity. This festival reflects India’s spirit.”


He added, “I am extremely delighted that this year, I get to be a part of that infectious vibe and celebrate it with such enthusiastic kids. This will definitely take me down my childhood memory lane when I used to go with my family for the local Dahi Handi celebration.”

Recently, while speaking to We Are Yuvaa, Vicky said that his parents made him and his brother Sunny strong as they never hid anything from them. He recalled and said that his father had cried in front of them when he was humiliated on the set when he was just a stuntman. He said even when his father used to cry in front of his mom, he used to come to them and tell him ‘I cried to your mom today’.

He added, “my mom would also tell us that your dad cried when his seniors scolded him in front of everyone on set when he was just a stuntman.” He mentioned that his parents made sure that nothing was hidden from them so that they can be emotionally strong.  While speaking about his father, he said, “my father has been that typical man in the family who tried to make us strong emotionally.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vicky Kaushal was recently seen in the movie Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, alongside Sara Ali Khan. Fans have also expressed their excitement for his upcoming films Sam Bahadur, a biopic of Sam Manekshaw and The Great Indian Family which will be produced under Yash Raj Films.
