Twitter again accepting verification applications following pause last month

Twitter has once again returned its verification application form after pausing the rollout of the form to make improvements to the application and review process in August.

Twitter opened its public verification program in May, giving users the ability to submit a request to be verified and show the highly sought-after blue checkmark badge on their profile.

notable accounts that belong to government officials; companies, brands and nonprofit organizations; news; entertainment; sports; and activists, organizers and other influential individuals. The company said it will look to expand the types of accounts that are eligible for verification in a future update.

“We’re back to rolling out access to request a blue badge,” said Twitter on Tuesday. “If you’re planning to apply and don’t yet have access, keep checking your account settings. Thanks for sticking with us.”
