Tecno has officially unveiled a new foldable smartphone in India. The Tenco Phantom V Flip debuts as the first clamshell folding smartphone from the brand.

Tecno unveiled its first foldable smartphone in the form of the Tecno Phantom V Fold earlier this year. According to Tecno, the Phantom V Flip debuts as the most affordable flip smartphone in India.

Tecno Phantom V Flip Pricing, Availability in India

The Tecno Phantom V Flip price in India starts from Rs 49,999 for the sole 8GB/256GB model. However, Tecno claims that this is just an early bird price. The Tecno Phantom V Flip arrives in Iconic Black and Mystic Dawn colour options.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip sale in India will kick off on October 1 through Amazon. Tecno is yet to reveal regular pricing of the Phantom V Flip. Additionally, the Tecno Phantom V Flip will also debut in other regions.

Tecno Phantom V Flip Specifications

The Tenco Phantom V Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8050 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Additionally, the unused storage can be used to expand RAM up to 8GB through the Extended Memory software feature.

The Tecno Phantom V Flip sports a 6.9-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED display with a 22:9 aspect ratio. The panel boasts a 10Hz – 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The Phantom V Flip opts for a 1.32-inch cover AMOLED screen with an Always-On display feature.

For optics, the Tecno Phantom V Flip gets a dual-camera setup on the back with a 64 MP primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and PDAF. The main camera is paired with a 13 MP ultrawide lens with autofocus. The phone’s hole-punch cutout houses a 32 MP selfie camera. However, the cover display can also be used a viewfinder to take selfies from the main cameras.

Tecno’s first clamshell folding smartphone will run on Android 13 with two years of guaranteed OS upgrades and three years of monthly security patches. The Phantom V Flip packs a 4,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
