The awards for Telugu and Kannada cinema were presented on Friday night, the Malayalam and Tamil cinema awards will be presented on Saturday.
The first leg of the 11th edition of the South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2023, honouring the best films and performances of the Telugu and Kannada film industries from the past year, was held in a star-studded ceremony at the Duai World Trade Centre, Dubai on September 15.
The romantic drama Sita Ramam and the global blockbuster RRR took home the major awards in the Telugu cinema categories. For Kannada cinema, the actioner KGF Chapter 2, the surprise package Kantara and the emotional drama 777 Charlie were the major winners.
