Chunky Panday’s daughter Ananya Panday appeared before the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai today after being summoned by the probe agency. The actor was sent summons after her name appeared in WhatsApp chats of Mumbai drugs case accused Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan. 
While everyone is aware of the close bond that Ananya shares with Aryan’s younger sister Suhana Khan, very few people know that Shah Rukh’s friendship with Chunky Panday goes back in time to the 80s.

When Shah Rukh hosted a reality show named ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun’ in 2015, in one of the episodes, Shah Rukh revealed an interesting story about why Chunky and his family are close to him. 
Incidentally, when Shah Rukh first came to Mumbai in the 80s, it was Chunky who gave him shelter during his initial days. In addition to this, Chunky also introduced SRK to his industry friends.

While mentioning this story during the episode, Shah Rukh had gotten quite emotional remembering his struggling days and how Chunky stood by him. 
The friendship between Shah Rukh Khan and Chunky Pandey has been strong since the 80s. Not just the two actors but their daughters Ananya and Suhana, and their wives Gauri Khan and Bhavna Pandey are also quite close to each other. 

Gauri had, last year, also made an appearance in the Netflix show ‘Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives’ starring Bhavna.
