Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse fired off criticism at U.S. Securities and Alternate Fee Chairman Gary Gensler on Tuesday, calling the SEC chief a “political legal responsibility” amid an ongoing lawsuit.

The crypto startup is preventing the SEC over allegations that the agency and its executives illegally offered XRP tokens in unregistered securities gross sales. A case in opposition to Garlinghouse and fellow government Chris Larsen was dismissed in October.
