The Redmi Note 12 will soon be succeeded by the Redmi Note 13 series. As expected, this series too will have multiple smartphones with slightly varying hardware and specifications.
According to a new report, Xiaomi is readying at least five different smartphones, which will collectively fall under the Redmi Note 13 series. Let’s look at the latest details and see which of these Redmi Note 13 smartphones could launch outside China and arrive in India.

Xiaomi To Release Five Redmi Note 13 Series Smartphones?
The Redmi Note 12 series was one of the most expansive. While the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus 5G are available in India, Xiaomi has launched multiple models, including Redmi Note 12 4G, Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, Redmi Note 12 Turbo 5G, and Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition.
There’s even a special Redmi Note 12 Turbo “Harry Potter” edition. Needless to mention, only a few of the abovementioned models from the Redmi Note 12 series have landed in India.
The Redmi Note 13 series should include at least five models, a new report has claimed. This would include a 4G-only smartphone, called the Redmi Note 13 4G. The rest of the Android smartphones under the Note 13 series would be able to connect to 5G networks. Here’s what the report claims:
- Redmi Note 13 4G: This Redmi Note 13 iteration is codenamed “sapphire,” and has a model number N7. It is tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
This 4G-only iteration could be available with or without NFC. This model would be limited to Europe, Turkey, and Indonesia, and is not expected to be sold in India.
- Redmi Note 13 5G: Codenamed “gold” with the model number N17, this is the entry-level 5G-enabled smartphone in the Redmi Note 13 series. It could feature a MediaTek Dimensity SoC with up to a 108MP main camera and ultra-wide and macro sensors.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is tipped to be a “global” smartphone, available in markets such as the EU and India. In some select markets, the Redmi Note 13 5G could be rebranded as a POCO smartphone.
- Redmi Note 13 Pro and Note 13 Pro+: Traditionally, Xiaomi has offered a Pro and a Pro Plus model under the Redmi Note series. Xiaomi could continue this strategy and offer a Redmi Note 13 Pro and a Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus model.
However, the latest leak claims Xiaomi is developing a single device codenamed “zircon”, bearing model number N16U. This device is tipped to feature the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 200MP main camera sensor, which would be coupled with an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro sensor on the back.
There should be a 16MP camera at the front of the Redmi Note 13 Pro | Plus. A midrange MediaTek Dimensity SoC would power this smartphone. The Redmi Note Pro, and possibly the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus models would be available in multiple markets outside China.
- Redmi Note 13 Turbo: As the name implies, the Redmi Note 13 Turbo would be the flagship smartphone in the series. Codenamed “garnet”, this smartphone will feature the ISOCELL HP3 200MP main camera sensor, but this lens could be paired with a higher resolution ultra-wide-angle lens.
The Redmi Note 13 Turbo would be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Although the name of the chipset isn’t known, Xiaomi may just embed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
It is interesting to note that Xiaomi is expected to offer the Redmi Note 13 Turbo smartphone outside China. Its predecessor was restricted to its home country. However, it was rebranded as the POCO F5 for global markets.
The latest leak claims all the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones will run MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. However, Xiaomi would send an OTA update that would upgrade the OS to MIUI 15 soon after these devices launch.
