Xiaomi and Qualcomm recently teased the Redmi Note 13 Series smartphone and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC respectively. Now, more details about both have leaked online.
A reliable tipster has divulged the number of cores, their speed, fabrication node, and other key aspects of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Additionally, the leak also details the highlights of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Android smartphone, which could launch alongside the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 Is A 4nm Octa-Core SoC Clocked At 2.4GHz
Qualcomm recently launched the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. As the name suggests, it is a midrange chipset that would be positioned well below the flagship Snapdragon 8 series chipsets.
Although Qualcomm hasn’t offered any details about the new chipset, prolific and reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has shared leaked details about the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
According to the latest leak, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 packs eight cores in a 4 + 4 configuration. The SoC is fabricated on the 4nm Node, which suggests it could be better at ensuring thermal efficiency.

There are four Performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz, while the remaining four Efficiency cores are clocked at 1.95GHz. There’s obviously an Adreno GPU, but the exact name isn’t known yet.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 features an X62 modem and FastConnect 6700 connection system. This means smartphones packing this SoC will be able to reliably and quickly latch on to 5G networks in most countries.
The latest midrange Snapdragon chipset has three 12-bit ISPs that support up to 200 MP shooting. Needless to mention, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Note 13 Pro Plus are expected to feature a 200MP primary rear camera.
Redmi Note 13 Pro Key Specs, Features Leaked
Alongside the details about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, Digital Chat Station also leaked some key specifications of the Redmi Note 13 Pro Android smartphone.
According to the tipster, all the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones will feature a 1.5K “plastic-free” bracket. He could be suggesting the Redmi Note 13, the Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will have metallic brackets and displays with 1.5K resolution. The back panel of these devices could be made from plastic.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro is already tipped to feature a flat screen while the Note 13 Pro+ is expected to flaunt a curved screen. The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Pro Plus variant have been confirmed to feature a 200-megapixel HP3 outsole sensor jointly customized by Samsung’s ISOCELL.

All the Redmi Note 13 series smartphones could feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. If true, this would mean Xiaomi has decided to offer AMOLED screens and completely avoided IPS LCD panels for the upcoming smartphones.
It is interesting to note that in addition to the openings for the microphone, speaker, and infrared remote control, there would be a “new opening”. The tipster hasn’t specified the intention, and instead, teased his audience by saying “Understand yourself”.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus smartphones will be launched this week, on September 21, 2023.
