Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 series this week, which includes the entry-level Redmi Note 13, the middle-level Redmi Note 13 Pro, and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Xiaomi officially unveiled the next-generation Redmi Note series, a new tablet, TWS earphones, and more at an event in China. The Redmi Note 13 series has been announced, but smartphones in this series will go on sale from September 26, 2023.

Xiaomi has restricted the availability of the Redmi Note 13 series to Chinese buyers. However, the Redmi Note series has always arrived in India after launching in China, and the Note 13 series should not be an exception.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G is available in three variants. The entry-level model with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage starts at ¥1099 (approx. ₹12,000 / $150)

The middle-level model packs 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This has been priced at ¥1199 (approx. ₹13,800 / $165). Buyers can also choose the 8GB + 256GB variant, which costs ¥1399 (approx. ₹15,000 / $190).

The top-end variant of the Redmi Note 13 5G packs 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Xiaomi has priced this device at ¥1599 (approx. ₹18,000 / $218).

Despite being priced aggressively, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G packs a punch in terms of specifications, hardware, and features. For starters, the entry-level Redmi Note 13 series smartphone features a 6.6-inch OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate.

The screen of the Redmi Note 13 has Full HD+ resolution, 1920Hz PWM dimming, and 1000 NITS of peak brightness. The 1080p display has narrow bezels and hides an under-display fingerprint scanner. Needless to mention, these features are rare in the budget or lower mid-range Android smartphone segment.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC. Although not as powerful as the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 powering the Note 13 Pro, the Dimensity 6080 SoC is a 5G-enabled chipset that’s more than sufficient for daily tasks and light gaming.

There are two variants of the Redmi Note 13 5G. While the entry-level packs 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage, the top-end model has 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The Redmi Note 13 5G features a dual rear camera setup, headlined by a 108MP primary rear camera. It is accompanied by a 2MP depth-sensing lens and an LED flash. The Redmi smartphone has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and face unlock.

Xiaomi has embedded a 5000mAh battery inside the Redmi Note 13 5G, which supports 33W wired fast charging. The Redmi smartphone runs Android 13-based MIUI 14. Some of the other notable features of the smartphone include 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual SIM, 3.5mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, NFC, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and support for GLONASS, GPS, and BeiDou.
