OnePlus just dropped the Nord CE4 in India, and the company is not done yet. According to leaks, the brand is gearing up for the launch of Nord 3’s successor — the OnePlus Nord 4, a rebranded OnePlus Ace 3V, powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, capable of running on-device generative AI models.
Though there is no official confirmation regarding the launch of the Nord 4 in India, the report suggested the phone will likely go official by this month in India. Here’s everything you should know about the upcoming OnePlus Nord 4.
OnePlus Nord 4: What to Expect?
The OnePlus Nord 4 will be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 3V which was unveiled last month in China. For the unaware, the Ace 2V is selling under the OnePlus Nord 3 branding in India.
In terms of design, the Nord 4 will look identical to the recently launched Nord CE4, which starts at Rs 24,999. While the Nord 4 is expected to come under the Rs 35,000 segment in the country. Given that, you might need to spend some extra bucks for the Nord 4; however, to know if it’s worth it or not let’s dive into the details.
OnePlus Nord 4: How It Is Better Than Nord CE4?
The OnePlus Nord 4 is powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 with generative AI capabilities. It packs up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. While the Nord CE4 is available with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM options.
The Nord 4 also includes an aerospace-grade VC cooling system for heat dissipation which is available on the OnePlus 12 series. Besides, the phone comes with an IP65 rating for dust and splash-resistant, in contrast, the Nord CE4 has an IP54 rating which is now very standard for sub-20k phones as well.
In terms of camera, both phones offer 50MP dual rear cameras and a 16MP selfie camera; however, the video recording features on both devices might disappoint you. If you prefer a better processor and promising software updates, should wait for the Nord 4, which also features an alert slider and gives more storage options to choose from.
On the software front, the Nord 4 promises to provide three years of OS updates and four years of security patches, while the Nord CE4 comes with a two-year software update promise.
