Nagarjuna
Wants
To
Fight
Legally
About
N
Convention’s
Demolishing:
Nagarjuna,
who
is
one
of
the
important
personalities
of
Tollywood
is
a
successful
businessman
as
much
as
he
is
an
actor.
The
actor
hit
the
headlines
on
August
24
for
reasons
other
than
his
upcoming
projects.
His
popular
convention
centre
in
Hyderabad,
N
Convention
has
been
demolished
by
the
Hyderabad
Disaster
Relief
and
Asset
Protection
Agency
(HYDRAA)
for
encroachment.
From
the
time
it
was
built
in
2012,
there
has
been
an
issue
about
this
particular
commercial
property
he
owns
in
Madhapur.
Earlier
too,
many
notices
were
sent
to
the
actor
regarding
the
illegal
encroachment
of
the
Tummidikunta
Lake’s
Full
Tank
Level
(FTL)
area.
The
convention
is
built
on
about
10
acres
and
the
government
says
that
1.12
acres
was
the
lake’s
area.
Apart
from
the
1.12
acres
that
have
been
constructed,
another
2
acres
are
in
the
buffer
zone.
The
Commissioner
of
HYDRAA,
A.V.
Ranganath
in
a
statement
said,
“They
are
in
clear
violation
and
have
encroached
upon
more
than
3
acres
of
lake
land.
Today
we
started
demolishing
the
portions
that
are
encroached.”
Nagarjuna,
who
reacted
to
the
demolishing
put
out
his
statement
through
his
social
media
handle.
He
wrote,
“Pained
by
the
unlawful
manner
of
demolition
carried
out
in
respect
of
N
Convention,
contrary
to
existing
stay
orders
and
Court
cases.
I
thought
it
fit
to
issue
this
statement
to
place
on
record
certain
facts
for
protecting
my
reputation
and
to
indicate
that
we
have
not
done
any
actions
in
violation
of
law.
The
land
is
a
Patta
land,
and
not
even
an
inch
of
tank
plan
is
encroached.
In
respect
of
the
building
constructed
inside
the
private
land,
there
is
a
stay
order
granted
against
any
earlier
illegal
notice
for
demolition.
Today
clearly,
the
demolition
was
carried
out
wrongfully
based
on
misinformation.
No
notice
was
issued
prior
to
carrying
out
the
demolition
this
morning.
As
a
law-abiding
citizen,
if
the
Court
before
which
the
matter
is
pending,
had
decided
against
me,
I
would
have
carried
out
the
demolition
myself.
I
am
placing
this
on
record
for
the
purpose
of
correcting
any
public
misimpression
about
wrongful
constructions
or
encroachment
by
us.
We
would
be
seeking
appropriate
relief
from
the
Court
in
relation
to
the
wrong
actions
carried
out
by
the
authorities,(sic).” Check
