Malayalam
actor
Siddique
has
resigned
from
his
position
as
the
General
Secretary
of
the
Association
of
Malayalam
Movie
Artists
(AMMA)
following
allegations

sexual
misconduct.

Siddique
submitted

resignation
via
email
to
AMMA
President
Mohanlal.

resignation
follows
actor
Revathy
Sampath’s
reiteration
of
the
allegations
she
first
made
against
Siddique
in
2019.
Revathy
accused
Siddique
of
sexual
assault,
labeling
him
a
criminal.
She
claimed
that
the
incident
occurred
in
2016
in
Thiruvananthapuram
after
a
preview
screening
of
Siddique’s
film
Sukhamayirikkatte,
at
Nila
Theatre,
when
she
was
21
years
old.

police
may
pursue
a
case
concerning
Revathy
Sampath’s
allegations
of
sexual
abuse.
The
claim
that
Sampath,
a
young
actress
with
aspirations
in
cinema,
was
abused
at
a
young
age

the
