Prabhas’ Salaar, directed by Prasanth Neel, has been postponed as the makers are ‘committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience.’

Prabhas’ film Salaar, which was supposed to release on September 28, has been postponed due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’. The makers of the film, on Wednesday, confirmed the news and said their ‘team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards.’

The official Twitter handle of Hombale Films tweeted, “We deeply appreciate your unwavering support for #Salaar. With consideration, we must delay the original September 28 release due to unforeseen circumstances. Please understand this decision is made with care, as we’re committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. Our team is working tirelessly to meet the highest standards.”

It further wrote, “The new release date will be revealed in due course. Stay with us as we make the final touches on #SalaarCeaseFire and thank you for being a part of this incredible journey.”

Earlier, as per Pinkvilla report, a source said, “Salaar holds a prominent position among the big films emerging from India, and the creators are determined to meet the high expectations of fans and moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film is not yet ready and requires additional time for post-production. Consequently, Prabhas, Prashant Neel, and their team collectively agreed to postpone the movie from its original September 28 release date.: “

The source further informed that the distributors in the USA and India have also been notified about it, while the USA’s bookings will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.

Meanwhile, The makers of the film are maintaining a high level of secrecy around the project. As per a source close to the project, “The cast of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will not be giving any interviews with the media to avoid any information related to the film’s story getting out to the public. The makers want the audience to experience the grandness of Salaar in the trailer itself.”

Helmed by KGF-fame Prasanth Neel, the upcoming action thriller stars Prabhas in the lead. The film is set to release in Telugu along with dubbed versions in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. The Hombale Films production also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and JagapathiBabu. It is produced by Vijay Kirgandur under Hombale Films.
