LPG 19KG Cylinders Prices:
In Delhi, the national capital of India, the 19kg cylinder price has been raised from Rs 16.5 to Rs 1,818.50 per cylinder, effective December 1. In the previous month, the price was at Rs 1,802.
Meanwhile, in the financial hub of the country, Mumbai, the 19KG LPG cylinder price was hiked by Rs 16.5 to Rs 1,771 compared to the previous month’s price of Rs 1,754.50 per cylinder. Compared to metro cities like Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai, a 19 kg LPG cylinder is cheaper in Mumbai despite the latest hike.
Further, in Chennai, 19KG LPG price was increased by Rs 16 to Rs 1,980.50 per cylinder compared to Rs 1,964.50 per cylinder.
Moreover, in Kolkata, the price of a 19Kg cylinder was increased by Rs 15.5 to Rs 1,927 per cylinder compared to Rs 1,911.50 per cylinder.

It needs to be noted that the prices of LPG cylinders in 19kg have been increased for the fifth consecutive month now. From July to December 2024, 19Kg LPG cylinder prices are up by Rs 172.5 in Delhi, higher by Rs 171 in Kolkata, up by Rs 173 in Mumbai and also higher by Rs 171 in Chennai.
In July 2024 month, LPG prices were reduced from the prices of June 2024, with 19kg cylinder priced that time at Rs 1646 in Delhi, at Rs 1756 in Kolkata, at Rs 1598 in Mumbai, and Rs 1809.50 in Chennai.
LPG 14.2 KG Cylinder Prices:
The OMC has kept LPG prices in 14.2KG cylinders unchanged since August 1, 2024. In December 2024 as well, the 14.2 kg cylinder price is at Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.

The 5 kg and 14.2 kg cylinders are largely meant for domestic use and comprise almost 90% of all gas distributed, while the 19 kg, 47.5 kg and 425 kg Jumbo cylinders are marketed for industrial and commercial consumption.
Also, Indian Oil recently launched a small (2 Kg) cooking gas cylinder also known as Munna, 2 Kg FTL (Free trade LPG) cylinder, thus making available cooking gas cylinders from corner stores for the convenience of its customers. Munna, a mini cooking gas cylinder has been launched especially for catering to Students, working women, street vendors, migrant population in urban and semi urban areas who do not have local address proof, people with lower gas consumption, and commercial establishments with limited space. Indane LPG is also supplied in bulk to large-volume consumers in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
