Who Is Eligible For Ladli Behna Yojana Scheme?
The eligibility criteria to receive Rs 1,250 per month benefit under Ladli Behna Yojana scheme is that the woman should have completed 21 years of age but must be below 60 years of age.
Other eligibility criteria that are also taken into consideration before transferring the benefit amount is that the woman should be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. These women can also be married including widows, divorced or abandoned.
Who Is Not Eligible?
However, the ineligibility criteria are — self-declared annual income of self/family together is more than Rs 2.5 lakh; whose self or any member of the family is an income tax payee; and lastly who self or any member of the family is employed as regular/permanent employee/contractual employee in the Government Department/Undertaking/Board/Local Body of Government of India or State Government or is receiving pension after retirement.
Benefits Under Ladli Behna Yojana Scheme:
Ladli Behna Yojana scheme of MP offers benefits such as — 1) every eligible woman will be paid up to Rs 1,250 per month during the eligibility period in their bank account which is linked with Aadhaar. Further, if a woman is below 60 years of age and already receiving an amount less than Rs 1,250 per month under the Social Security Pension Scheme, then they too will be offered an amount of up to Rs 1,250 per month under the Ladli Behna Yojana.
As per the official website, applications for the scheme can be filled out online through the portal/ mobile app. Here’s how to do it:
1. To apply online, applicants will have the facility to fill out the “Form of information required for application” in advance. The said form will be available in the camp/Gram Panchayat/Ward Office/Anganwadi Centre.
2. The entry of the filled form will be done online by the camp in-charge appointed in the camp/ward/gram panchayat/ward office and a printed receipt will be given for each successfully filed application. This receipt will also be received by the beneficiary through SMS/Whatsapp. Anganwadi workers will assist in the process.
The application process is that the forms will be entered in the Ladli Behna Portal/App at the campsite/Gram Panchayat/Ward Office. Then photographs of the woman will be taken during submission of the application form.
After submission of the application form, the online application number received will be recorded in the acknowledgement and given to the applicant, as per the guidelines.
Among the key objectives of the Ladli Behna Yojana are — to maintain the self-reliance of women and sustainable improvement in the health and nutritional status of their dependent children; make women more financially independent; and encourage women’s effective role in decision-making at the family level.
