Kangana Ranaut commented about little-to-no awareness of Chandramukhi 2’s Hindi dubbed version.
Kangana Ranaut’s upcoming horror-comedy Chandramukhi 2 is slated for a pan-India release. The movie has been well-promoted in the South, but there is no buzz about the film in the North. Kangana has interacted with the South media, but there are zero interviews or promotional activities about the film in the North.
When a news editor tweeted about the same and tagged Kangana, the actress revealed she was clueless about the Hindi release of her upcoming film. On X (formerly Twitter), Kangana said the Hindi version is being distributed by Goldmines Telefilms’ Manish Shah, and the actress claimed that Manish wasn’t keen to release the Hindi version. Kangana wrote, “Dubbed Hindi version of the film is not being distributed by @LycaProductions. Its dubbed version is with @GTelefilms. Even I have no clarity about its release. Last I spoke to @GTelefilms owner Manish ji he said that he was not releasing the Hindi version at all but now some are saying that he is.”

For the unversed, Chandramukhi 2 is the direct sequel to the 2005 iconic blockbuster Chandramukhi. Both films are directed by P Vasu. The prequel starred Jyotika as the titular character and Rajinikanth as Vettiyan Raja. In the second instalment, Kangana replaced Jyotika, whereas Raghav Lawrence replaced Rajinikanth.
A few days after Chandramukhi 2’s trailer was released, Jyotika shared her reaction to the film. On Instagram, the Tamil actress called herself a fan of Kangana, and wrote, “Feel extremely proud to see one of the most talented actresses of Indian cinema to play Chandramukhi role. You look ravishing as Chandramukhi. Huge fan of your work and waiting to see this one especially for you. All the best Lawrence master and P Vasu sir for yet another success.”
Although Chandramukhi 2 is slated for a September 28 release, there is no clarity whether the Hindi version of the film will get showcased in the North, as on the same date, Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War and Fukrey 3 will also hit cinemas.
