“The way I am boycotted by the Sikh community and how violently they protests against my films in Punjab for speaking against Khalistani terrorists is not a good decision or sign from their end”, wrote Kangana Ranaut.
Amid the ongoing diplomatic row between India and Canada, rapper and singer Shubh’s India music tour was cancelled after he had allegedly showed his support towards Khalistan and separatist leaders. The rapper Dino James first extended his support towards his fellow musician, but then later issued an apology saying that he had no idea why Shubh’s tour was cancelled.
Shubh also issued a statement that he didn’t intend to hurt anyone’s sentiments when he shared a distorted map of India without Jammu & Kashmir and seven north-eastern states. “The accusations against me have deeply affected me. It’s my humble request to refrain from naming every Punjabi as a separatist or anti-national”, he wrote.
Now, Kangana Ranaut shared Dino James’ apology on her Instagram Stories and stated, “Punjab ka yahi haal hai (This is the exact situation of Punjab) When I spoke against Khalistanis, they managed to convince entire Sikh community that I am against whole community, even today my films are banned in Punjab, uno excite karke misguide karna sabse easy hai (it’s every easy to misguide them by exciting them)”.
“Sikh community must disassociate themselves from Khalistanis and more Sikhs must come out in the support of Akhand Bharat, the way I am boycotted by the Sikh community and how violently they protests against my films in Punjab for speaking against Khalistani terrorists is not a good decision or sign from their end. Khalistani terrorism makes them look bad and it will ruin the credibility of entire community and their overall perception. Jai Hindi”, the Panga actress added.
The ongoing political turmoil between India and Canada has started after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that New Delhi was involved in the murder of a Khalistani terrorist in Canada. India rejected these allegations and called them “absurd” and “motivated”. Later, the two nations also reportedly expelled each other senior diplomats.
