Jawan director Atlee reveals he learned writing from a National Award-winning director.

Atlee is currently enjoying the success of his latest release Jawan. The actor made his big Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan-starrer and impressed the audience. Recently, he revealed that he learned writing from a known Bollywood director.

In an interview with News18, Atlee revealed that he was inspired by Rajkumar Hirani’s writing and said, “I have learned writing from him. Nanban was the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots directed by Shankar sir and I was his writing assistant then. So I am aware of the nuances of the writing of Rajkumar sir and have taken inspiration from him. I respect him as a man of writing.”

He also expressed his love for the director and talked about how excited he is for his upcoming movie Dunki with Shah Rukh Khan. The filmmaker said, “I haven’t seen any rushes of Dunki but I am super excited for the film. I am planning to watch it on the biggest screen when it is released to the audience. Rajkumar sir had visited us on the sets of Jawan and had seen my film’s first reel during the mixing. I love Rajkumar Hirani sir and I am eagerly waiting for Dunki.”
Atlee’s Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi has been breaking several box office records since its release. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Aaliyah Qureshi, Lehar Khan, and Ridhi Dogra among others in key roles.
