Jan. 3: Shopping, Apple, and Chipotle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Here are five things to know before you go to bed Jan. 3, 2022.

Shopping

This year Christmas shoppers did “Shop ’til they dropped” and a survey tells how much cash they spent.

A lending tree survey said this Christmas, Americans were willing to spend more than they could afford and 36% of Americans used debt to do it to the tune of 12-hundred 49 dollars, on average.

Baby products

Bowie music

David Bowie’s estate has sold the singer’s music catalog to Warner Chappell music.

Sources reportedly said the artist’s catalog sold for upwards of $250-million.

The sold music catalog spans six decades and includes songs from 26 David Bowie studio albums.

Chipotle

After test runs in several major cities.

The chain said its plant-based chorizo is made using all real, fresh ingredients grown on a farm, not in a lab.

The new offering is the first meatless-protein item since Chipotle added tofu-based sofritas in 201
