The iQOO 12 5G smartphone is certainly under active development. A new leak implies the upcoming premium Android smartphone will push the boundaries even further with a 2K 144Hz Samsung E7 AMOLED display, second-generation 200W Fusion Charge Wired Fast Charging, an under-display ultrasound fingerprint scanner, blazing-fast USB 3.x data transfers, and a lot more.

iQOO 12 5G Alleged Key Specifications, Features Leak
The iQOO 11 5G is currently available in India. It launched in December last year. If iQOO sticks to the usual launch cycle, the iQOO 12 5G could launch in December 2023, which is just a few months away.
Reliable and prolific tipster Digital Chat Station recently leaked a few key specifications of the vanilla iQOO 12 5G smartphone such as the charging speeds and camera modules.
Now the account has posted the multiple hardware specifications of the upcoming premium smartphone from iQOO.

The latest leak claims an upcoming iQOO smartphone will feature a Samsung E7 AMOLED display with a 2K resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate, which should be variable according to the content displayed on the screen.
The leak does not mention the actual screen size. However, the E7 series of displays are rumored to have improved resilience against the infamous green line issue plaguing many AMOLED displays.

The leak does mention that the iQOO smartphone will feature an all-metal chassis for a much better build quality compared to conventional plastic frames. It is quite possible that iQOO could be exploring aircraft-grade aluminum.
The mystery iQOO smartphone will feature a quad rear camera, comprising a 50MP OV50H primary sensor and a 64MP OV64B periscope lens, the leak claims. The specifications of the telephoto, ultra-wide-angle lens, and front camera haven’t been mentioned.
The “Superb Battery” embedded inside the upcoming iQOO smartphone will support 200W Fusion Charge wired fast charging. iQOO is also rumored to embed an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner inside its upcoming flagship smartphone, which would draw power via a USB Type-C 3.x port.

A recent leak indicated that iQOO will embed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC inside the iQOO 12 5G. The octa-core flagship packs a single Cortex-X4 Prime Performance core, five Cortex-A720 Performance cores, and two Cortex-A520 Efficiency cores along with an Adreno 750 GPU.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC could be paired with up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It would run Origin OS 4.0 OS, which is based on Android 13.

The top-end iQOO 12 5G could pack a 4600mAh or 4800mAh battery, with support for 200W wired fast charging, while the base model of the smartphone is rumored to pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 100W wired fast charging.
Several details about the upcoming iQOO 12 series smartphones are still missing. However, they could gradually surface as the smartphones approach their launch.
