IPL 2025: After the ICC Champions Trophy, the cricket fans are in for a treat with the much-awaited Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The IPL 2025 will commence from March 22, and ticket booking for the matches will commence as the season starts. A host of changes have been announced with latest being Mumbai Indians replacing South African fast bowler Lizaad Williams for Corbin Bosch, and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picking Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for Brydon Carse.

IPL 2025 Schedule:

Overall, in 2025 season, there will be 74 matches played across 13 venues and will include 12 double-headers. The timings of the games will be standard at afternoon around 03:30 PM IST, and evening games that will begin from 7:30 PM IST.

This will be the 18th edition of IPL and it will commence on March 22, 2025 and the Final will be played on May 25, 2025.

Here are the schedules:

The first match of IPL 2025 season will be between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22, 2025.

Additionally, the first of the 12 double-headers day will take place on March 23, 2025, as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in an afternoon game in Hyderabad. This will be followed by a mouthwatering clash in the evening as the two five-time IPL champions – Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) – lock horns at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

As per the IPL 2025 website, Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will play their respective first match of the season when they take on each other in Visakhapatnam on March 24, 2025. The world’s biggest cricket stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad – will host its first game of the season when Gujarat Titans (GT) host Punjab Kings (PBKS) on March 25, 2025.

It added, three of the ten IPL teams will play at 2 venues each. DC will play their home games in Visakhapatnam and at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. RR will play their two home games at Guwahati – where they host KKR and CSK – and play the remainder of the home games at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. PBKS, meanwhile, will play their four home matches at the New PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh while the picturesque Dharamsala will host three home games of PBKS – against LSG, DC and MI – at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium.

After the conclusion of the leading stages, the playoffs will be played in Hyderabad and Kolkata. As per the main statement, Hyderabad is going to host Qualifier 1 and Eliminator on May 20, 2025, and May 21, 2025, respectively. While Kolkata will host the Qualifier 2 on May 23, 2025. The all-engrossing summit clash of the TATA IPL 2025 will be played on May 25, 2025.

Mumbai Indian Changes:

BCCI released that Mumbai Indians have replaced South African fast bowler Lizaad Williams with his compatriot Corbin Bosch for the upcoming Tata IPL 2025. Williams did not cut due to an injury.

Bosch, a bowling all-rounder, has represented South Africa (SA) in one Test and two ODIs and has played 86 T20s. The 30-year-old made his international debut in December and was also included in the Proteas’ 15-member squad for the Champions Trophy as a replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Changes:

Also, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) picked Wiaan Mulder as a replacement for Brydon Carse for the upcoming edition of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Carse is ruled out of the TATA IPL 2025 due to an injury, and his replacement, Mulder, an all-rounder, will join SRH for Rs 75 Lakh.

IPL 2025 Ticket Bookings:

For a general idea, the starting price for IPL tickets is Rs 450 to Rs 850. For the mid-range, the prices would be between Rs 900 to Rs 3,000. Regarding premium bookings, the prices would range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 18,000. For VIP seats, the prices will be Rs 19,000 and above.

1. Wankhede Stadium Mumbai (Maharashtra): Rs. 800 to Rs. 35,000

2. MA Chidambaram Stadium Chennai (Tamil Nadu): Rs 1,500 to Rs. 5,000

3. PCA Stadium Mohali (Punjab): Rs. 800 to Rs. 25,000

4. Eden Gardens Kolkata (West Bengal): Rs Rs. 400 to Rs. 14,000

5. Uppal Stadium Hyderabad (Telangana): Rs. 400 to Rs. 18,000

6. M. Chinnaswamy Stadium Benguluru (Karnataka) : Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 18,000

7. Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi: Rs. 500 to Rs. 15,000

8. Sawai Mansingh Stadium Jaipur (Rajasthan): Rs. 500 to Rs. 15,000

Tentatively, the bookings for IPL 2025 tickets will start between March 22, 2025 and May 26, 2025.
