Apple recently concluded its highly anticipated Wonderlust event. The latest Apple event saw the launch of several new products, including the iPhone 15 series, Appel Watch 9 Series, and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

However, the stars of the show were undoubtedly the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, although Apple also announced some big updates to the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. So without any further delays, here are the main Apple Event highlights.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max

First up are the iPhone 15 Pro models. The iPhone 15 Pro debuts as the first iPhone with an aerospace‑grade titanium design. The iPhone 15 Pro also features a game changing A17 Pro chipset. The iPhone 15 Pro also arrived with a new customisable Action Button and a USB Type-C charging port with USB 3.0 speeds.

The iPhone 15 Pro also features a second-gen 48 MP primary sensor. However, the standard telephoto lens on the iPhone 15 Pro is replaced with a Periscope shooter on the iPhone 15 Pro Max with up to 5x optical zoom. The iPhone 15 Pro price in India starts from Rs 1,34,900, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max price in India is set at Rs 1,59,900 for the base model.

Apple iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus

The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have also got some big upgrades over their predecessors. The iPhone 15 features the same A16 Bionic chip used on the iPhone 14 Pro models. The iPhone 15 also gets an upgraded 48 MP main camera with a new 2x Telephoto option for improved portrait and low-light shots.

Like vanilla iPhone 15 now features the Dynamic Island feature and a tough Ceramic Shield front cover. The iPhone 15 also comes with USB Type-C charging and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. The iPhone 15 price in India starts from Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 15 Plus price in India is set at Rs 89,900 for the base model.

Apple Watch Series 9

The Apple Watch Series 9 gets a new updated S9 SIP, which features a offers improved CPU and GPU performance over the Watch 8 Series. The Apple Watch Series 9 features an Always-on Retina display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Apple has also introduced a new fingerprint tapping feature (Double Tap) with the Watch Series 9.

The Apple Watch Series 9 will run on watchOS 10. The Apple Watch Series 9 is Apple’s first carbon neutral product. The Apple Watch Series 9 price in India starts from Rs 41,900. The Apple Watch Series 9 feature both stainless-steel and aluminium builds.

Apple Watch Ultra 2

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 features a 1.92-inch LTPO OLED display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It also features the same updated S9 SIP as the Apple Watch Series 9. But despite improved performance, the Watch Ultra 2 delivers up to 36 hours of battery life, while the low power mode can extend the battery life up to 72 hours.

The Apple Watch Ultra 2 also boasts the same Double Tap feature as the Watch Series 9. The Apple Watch Series 9 price in India starts from Rs 89,900 and uses a titanium case. Apple has also teamed up with Nike to design eco-friendly watch straps that aim to help reduce waste.

Software Rollout

Apple also announced that the iOS 17 and iPad OS 17 software update would be rolling out to supported devices starting September 18. Additionally, macOS Sonoma will be arriving on all compatible mac PCs from September 26. Lastly, watchOS 10 and tvOS 17 that were also announced at WWDC 2023 will be available on supported devices from September 18.

Apple Carbon Neutral Products, AirPods Pro Update

Apple also announced major carbon goals and its progress to achieving those goals. Apple ended the use of leather across all its product lines. All manufacturing for the carbon neutral Apple Watch models is powered by 100 percent clean electricity through investments and sourcing by Apple and its suppliers.

Apple also updated the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with USB‑C charging capabilities, additional dust resistance, and Lossless Audio with Apple Vision Pro. The new AirPods Pro are updated with a USB‐C connector to charge your Mac, iPad, AirPods, and iPhone 15 model with a single cable.
