Apple recently launched the iPhone 15 series in India. The line-up included the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. You can check out our comparison between the iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 right here.
However, in this comparison, we will look at the iPhone 15 Pro and its predecessor, the iPhone 14 Pro. On paper, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro are nearly identical, save for a few new features and hardware upgrades.

iPhone 15 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro: What’s Different?
The iPhone 15 Pro gets a much tougher build thanks to its titanium construction. However, the tougher build doesn’t come with the extra heft. In fact, the iPhone 15 Pro (187 grams) is lighter than the iPhone 14 Pro (206 grams).
Apart from the build, the overall design of the iPhone 15 Pro is the same as its predecessor. There are a few differences in the odd dimension, but the two devices look identical. But one of the biggest differences between the two devices is the addition of the new USB Type-C port on the iPhone 15 Pro.
According to reports, the iPhone 15 Pro features a battery capacity of around 3,274 mAh, which is nearly the same as the iPhone 14 Pro at 3,200 mAh. Additionally, Apple didn’t make any grandeur claims about battery life, which suggests that both devices will offer similar battery life.
iPhone 15 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro: Cameras
The other difference between the two iPhones lies in the camera department. The iPhone 15 Pro gets a larger 48 MP primary camera sensor with second-generation sensor-shift OIS. The iPhone 15 Pro’s main camera does come with some extra features, including updated Smart HDR 5.
The main camera also features new antireflective coating to reduce lens flare, while the ultrawide also comes with the same coating, offers better night shots, and HDR capability. Apple didn’t detail the improvements on the third telephoto camera, which leads us to believe that the hardware improvements here are nominal, if any.
Additionally, the incorporation of the new A17 Pro chip will come with its own algorithm advantages. Lastly, the iPhone 15 Pro features Spatial Video that can be played on the upcoming Apple Vision Pro.

iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 15 Pro: Which one should you buy?
If you aren’t an enthusiast mobile gamer and aren’t interested in testing out Apple’s claims of running console games on your smartphone, then you’d be better off sticking to the iPhone 14 Pro. Additionally, the iPhone 14 Pro is also more affordable and features incredible camera prowess, capable of keeping up with the best 2023 has on offer.
If you don’t mind paying the extra Rs 15,000, then the iPhone 15 Pro does offer a couple of advantages. For one, the A17 Pro chip offers better performance and will allow a smartphone to deliver console-quality graphics, according to Apple.
Moreover, the iPhone 15 Pro has a larger camera sensor and improved portrait and video capabilities. The upgrades over the iPhone 14 Pro here don’t seem major but then again, the pricing between the two devices isn’t all that much as well. And with the additional OS and security update, the iPhone 15 Pro does feel worth it.
