Former UK Prime Minister David Cameron made overseas minister in shock political comeback

LONDON – Former U.Ok. Prime Minister David Cameron was appointed overseas secretary Monday in a sweeping reshuffle of present Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s cupboard.

Downing Road confirmed the appointment after Cameron was seen strolling into No. 10 — the official residence and workplace of the British prime minister — to fulfill with Sunak following the abrupt sacking of Suella Braverman as inside minister.

James Cleverly, who previously served as overseas secretary, was appointed Braverman’s successor.

Cameron served as prime minister from 2010 to 2016 and presided over Britain’s controversial Brexit vote, which in the end led to his resignation.
