been
making
headlines
ever
since
it
was
announced
for
all
the
controversial
reasons.
The
film,
which
has
faced
many
legal
issues

the
trailer

dropped,

CBFC
back
in
July
8.
After
2
months
of
long
battle,
it
is
given
U/A
certificate
and
clearance
to
release
the
film
but
on
one
condition.

edits
and
find

of

quotes

comment
on

like
rabbits’
made
by
Winston
Churchill
and
US
President
Richard
Nixon.
Furthermore,
the
committee
has
asked
the
makers
to
change
a
scene
where
a
soldier
hitting
an
infant’s
head
and
three
woman
being
beheaded
are
shown.
Also,
the
makers
were
asked
to
present
all
the
sources
for
the
research,
details,
statistics,
and
the
archival
footages
and
images
of
‘Operation
Bluestar’.

Friday,
took
to
Instagram
and
announced
the
postponement
of
the
movie.
She
wrote,
“With
a
heavy
heart
I
announce
that
my
directorial
Emergency
has
been
postponed,
we
are
still
waiting
for
the
certification
from
censor
board,
new
release
date
will
be
announced
soon,
thanks
for
your
understanding
and
patience.”
Emergency
also
stars
Shreyas
Talpade,
Anupam
Kher,
Milind
Soman,
Mahima
Chaudhry,
and
late
Satish
Kaushik
in
pivotal
roles.
The
movie
was
originally
scheduled
to
release
on
September
6.
After
the
clearance,
the
makers
haven’t
announced
the
revised
release
date
yet.
