There’s never a dull day in Dua Lipa’s wardrobe, with her Instagram resembling a highlight reel of new brands and trends to have on your radar. Whether she’s rocking a catsuit with 35 cut-outs, a noughties waterfall hem dress or a teeny tiny crochet bikini, there’s no denying that the singer’s grid is a fab source of inspo, and also serves as a reminder to have fun with fashion. And Dua’s latest look, shared by the singer while celebrating her 26th birthday, is a case in point.
Dua took to the ‘gram again last night to share a particularly extra look bringing a whole new meaning to the term ‘birthday suit’. The outfit in question consists of a navy trouser set covered with tiny rainbow polka dots reminiscent of confetti (which feels pretty fitting for the occasion, don’t ya think?). The suit was layered over a semi-sheer black lace bra, giving the ensemble a more summer-y party vibe.
Then, ever a fan of accessories, Dua added some eye-catching details to the already fab ‘fit. When you scroll through the photo reel you can see that her belt actually features a chunky gold heart-shaped buckle – such a mood. True to form, the singer also layered multiple necklaces, bracelets and rings together, adding a playful edge to the suit.
The most notable detail, however, is her hat. To be fair, the fluffy bucket hat is hard to miss thanks to its size, texture and colourful, contrasting tips. While the statement hat might not be everyone’s cup of tea, the trend has become a celeb It-piece lately, spotted on the likes of Rihanna, Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber, to name a few.
So, without further ado, here’s Dua’s gloriously extra birthday look in full, which she posted with the caption “i’m a leo – can’t u tell 🎂🎈🍰🎀🐇”
