Three-time National Award winner, Nana Patekar, has stepped into the shoes of Prof. (Dr.) Balram Bhargava, the Director-General of the Indian Council of Medical Research. This character is poised to add depth and gravitas to The Vaccine War, amplifying the film’s authenticity and impact.

On September 12, the makers of the film unveiled a spine-chilling trailer of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War and left fans amazed. The trailer for India’s first bio-science film, The Vaccine War talks about the struggle of Indian scientists behind the development of vaccines and also unfolds many stories that went behind the curtains. The trailer shows Nana Patekar leading India’s ‘war’ to prepare Bharat’s own vaccine against Covid-19. The trailer also promises an emotional rollercoaster in the ‘inspirational masterpiece’.
The Vaccine War will feature Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda, and Pallavi Joshi as lead characters and the film will tell the story of the crisis time when India developed the vaccine. The movie was earlier scheduled to clash with Prabhas’ Salaar, however, Prashanth Neel’s movie has now been postponed and The Vaccine War will be released in theatres on September 28. Produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, the film will be released in multiple languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and the Indian Sign Language.
