Mo Elshenawy, who beforehand served as Government Vice President of Engineering at Cruise, will now function President and CTO for Cruise, the corporate mentioned.

The resignation follows a string of missteps by Cruise. As CNBC beforehand reported, the corporate not too long ago issued a recall affecting 950 of its robotaxis following a pedestrian collision in San Francisco final month.
