After impressing fans with his latest release OMG 2, Akshay Kumar is all set to enthrall the audience once again with his upcoming movie Mission Raniganj. The makers released an intriguing motion poster of the movie leaving the fans in awe. 

On Wednesday, Akshay Kumar took to his Instagram and shared the motion poster of Mission Raniganj showcasing him as ‘Bharat’s true hero’. The motion poster gave a glimpse of the heroic tale of Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill (played by Akshay Kumar) who led a gripping rescue mission saving miners trapped beneath a 350-feet-deep coal mine in Raniganj. The motion poster gave goosebumps to the fans. The caption read, “In 1989, one man achieved the impossible! Watch the story of Bharat’s true hero with #MissionRaniganj in cinemas on 6th October. Teaser out tomorrow!”

The movie is inspired by a real-life incident at Raniganj Coalfield and is inspired by the heroic act of the Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill who led Bharat’s coal mine rescue mission. He played a significant role in rescuing all the surviving miners trapped in a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989.

Helmed by Tinu Suresh Desai, Mission Raniganj stars Starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Shishir Sharma, Ananth Mahadevan, Jameel Khan, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt, Omkar Das Manikpuri, and is an ode to the resilience, determination, and valor of the human spirit and engineering minds. 

The film also marks Tinu Suresh Desai’s next thriller after Rustom, which won him massive critical and commercial acclaim. Presented by Pooja Entertainment, the heroic rescue thriller is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 6. The teaser of the movie will be released on September 7.
