In Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi, South star Arvind Swami plays the role of M. G. Ramachandran aka MGR. The actor had shared his look from the film earlier this year much to the excitement of the fans. Now, after Kangana, Arvind has wrapped the shoot of Thalaivi and made the announcement of the same on his Twitter page. He posted a photo of getting ready for the shoot and thanked his makeup artist for all the efforts.
In the photo, Arvind Swami is seen wearing a white vest and seated on his makeup chair in front of the mirror. A glimpse of his makeup artist is also visible in the mirror selfie.
The Roja actor captioned his tweet stating, “The man working his magic on me for the last time in this film to get me as close as possible to the beauty and charm of Puratchi Thalaivar – Thank you, Rashid sir… Last day of shoot #Thalaivi.”

On wrapping the filming of Thalaivi, Kangana had penned a heartfelt note on her social media pages. It read as “And it’s a wrap, today we successfully completed the filming of our most ambitious project Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader, rarely an actor finds a character that comes alive in flesh and blood and I fall in love so hard but now suddenly it’s time to say bye, mixed feelings.”
Thalaivi also stars Bhagyashree and Madhoo Shah in pivotal roles. The film is directed by AL Vijay and is based on the life of J. Jayalalithaa.
