OSAGE COUNTY, Okla. — Filming continues for the Martin Scorsese film “Killers of the Flower Moon” in Oklahoma, and Apple Studios gave people their first look.

The image released Monday shows stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone together in a dining room in a scene yet to be described by the moviemakers.

Filming based on the best-selling nonfiction book of the same name has been happening in the Tulsa, Bartlesville and Osage County areas this spring and is expected to go on into the summer.

In the film, DiCaprio plays Ernest Burkhart, the nephew of powerful rancher William Hale — played by Robert De Niro — who used brute force to control his corner of Oklahoma in the 1920s, according to Vanity Fair.

Gladstone plays Mollie Burkhart, an Osage woman who falls in love with Burkhart.

FOX23 got a look at film crews as they built reconstructed buildings to set the scene in Pawhuska.

The film’s release date has yet to be announced.
