Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna’s son Aarav celebrated his 18th birthday on September 15, 2020. The family rang in celebrations in Scotland where Akshay is shooting for Bell Bottom. To which his son, Akshay took to his Instagram page and shared an unseen throwback photo with Aarav. The photo is clicked during Holi celebrations many years back and the actor is seen carrying his son in his arms while posing happily.
Akshay posted the photo with a heartwarming message which read as “Can’t believe this day has come. Happy 18th Birthday to My Boy!! Big or small I will carry you in my arms until it’s time for you to carry me. Now you’re taller than me, more handsome than me, with a Heart 10 x the size of mine. The world can only benefit from you being in it. All my love, hugs & prayers, your loving father.”

Twinkle also shared a photo from the birthday celebrations and wrote a letter to Aarav. The actor-turned-author penned, “Happy 18th birthday Aarav! Here is something I had written for you once and to keep loosening the strings and finally cutting them off this year has not been easy. All these years you have been as much my teacher as I have been yours. I learned optimism, kindness and wonder from you as I taught you maths, a few manners and how to switch the lights off when you leave the room.”

Recently, while talking to Bear Grylls on his show Into The Wild, Akshay was all praises for Aarav. He said, “My son is very different. I mean, he just doesn’t want to tell anyone that he’s my son. He wants to be away from the limelight. He wants to have his own identity. That’s what the whole thing and I understand it. So, I let him be the way he wants to.”
