Kanye West Calls Out Beyoncé, Twitter Promptly Declares Him "Over"

Another day, another Kanye West meltdown.

The latest outburst from the “Famous” rapper came during a Saturday night performance in Sacramento, California, Spin reports. West played just three songs during his brief time on stage, but he did also deliver a 15-minute rant speech about everything from radio programming to the MTV Video Music Awards to Beyoncé and Jay Z.

“I’m putting my career, my life, my public well-standing at risk when I talk to ya’ll like this,” he began before going on to call out Bey directly. “Beyoncé, I was hurt cause I heard you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling.'”

Remember when Kanye was so Team Beyoncé that he started a lifelong feud with Taylor Swift over it? Sorry, just needed to stop and reminisce about that for a second because West’s call out of Bey (and the music industry in general, TBH) did not stop there.

“Now, don’t go trying to diss Beyoncé, she is great. Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people. We are all equal. But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win. F**k winning,” he told the crowd.

West then explained to the crowd that he had been “sent here” to speak his truth before making an open statement to Jay Z asking the rapper to call him, because why not? Then, things took a turn for the decidedly-political, with West dropping a “make America great again” reference, which garnered boos from the crowd.

After his rant, West ended the concert early. Since then, #KanyeIsOverParty has been trending on Twitter and fans (or should we say former fans?) have made it clear they are not pleased.

And now, on to waiting (not at all) patiently for Beyoncé and/or Taylor Swift to weigh in.
